Vision

A community spiritually freed from the effects of incarceration, reaching all impacted by it through the love, hope, and faith found in Jesus Christ.

The mission of Kairos Prison Ministry is to share the transforming love and forgiveness of Jesus Christ to touch the hearts and lives of incarcerated men, women, and youth, as well as their families, helping them become loving and productive members of their communities.

Kairos Prison Ministry's core values guide our behavior and actions as a board, staff, and volunteers:

We are Christians who believe in the Holy Trinity and follow the teachings of the Bible and our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We carry out the ministry while inviting all to attend as guests or participants in weekends and program-specific follow-up activities to foster Christian community.

While empowering local volunteers to lead the ministry, we remain accountable to the highest standards of excellence and performance. We also encourage guests and participants to take responsibility for their lives and experience transformation through Jesus Christ.

We believe in the importance of fostering relationships to build community, so our model includes the Weekend experience followed by Guests or Participants gathering regularly for accountability, support, and prayer. The complete, well-defined returning model is essential for the community to thrive.

We believe we must be honest and truthful in our personal conduct as we represent the ministry consistently and with integrity. We are obedient to God in everything we do and follow the guidelines of the Kairos ministry programs.

We believe in respecting each person with dignity while demonstrating Christ's love. We practice ‘Listen, Listen, Love, Love.'

We believe we must be good stewards of our ministry’s programs, funds, and resources, as well as our personal time, talents, and treasures.
